Whether or not appearance matters for people, does it really matter for vegetables?
Supermarkets have massive buying power, and have long insisted that farmers produce vegetables of a certain shape and size; at one time so did the EU. Now, due to the amount of food wasted, the big players are beginning to rethink, especially the ASDA supermarket chain.
